Led by Julie Taguchi, MD as the principal investigator, WHN has obtained IRB approval for a study titled “A New Hormone Replacement Paradigm.”
This study aims to investigate the health impacts of Physiologic Hormone Restoration Therapy™ in comparison to the use of estradiol patch and cyclical oral progesterone in 210 women over a three-year period. The Physiologic HRT arm of the study will involve transdermal application of estradiol and progesterone at various doses to mimic natural hormone rhythms throughout a menstrual cycle. The primary objective of the study is to assess improvement in bone density over the three-year period, while secondary objectives include evaluating changes in participants’ quality of life, anxiety, depression, cognition, menopause symptoms, and insulin and cardiac markers.
WHN is currently in the process of raising funds for this clinical study and will provide updates on the progress of this significant endeavor. For more information on the study, please visit the official clinical trial web page.
